On October 8, 2026, the Closing ceremony of the interactive educational workshop “Multidisciplinary Care of Children with Drug-Resistant Epilepsy: from Diagnosis to Ketogenic Diet Therapy” took place at the National Children’s Medical Center.
Held from October 5–8, the workshop was implemented under the project “Improvement of Diagnostic Methods and Implementation of Therapeutic Diets in the Treatment of Hereditary Pharmacoresistant Epilepsy among Children in Uzbekistan,” implemented by the National Children’s Medical Center, Community Chest of Korea (CCK) and the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH).
More than 20 healthcare specialists from polyclinics across Uzbekistan participated in the training, deepening their knowledge and skills in the multidisciplinary management of children with drug-resistant epilepsy. Upon successful completion of the 36-hour accredited training program, participants were awarded certificates.
We believe that strengthening healthcare professionals’ knowledge and clinical skills will contribute to improved diagnosis, expanded treatment options, and better quality of life for children living with epilepsy across Uzbekistan.
